Mary Kate Moriarty, DMD
Mary Kate Moriarty, DMD, joined the Hilltop family in early 2019 and continues the traditions established by Dr. Jeffrey Day and Dr. Peter Scelfo, to provide the most advanced treatment in a compassionate manner to generations of families in the Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg areas. Dr. Moriarty graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts after receiving her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1985. Dr. Moriarty grew up in Western Massachusetts and has considered Virginia home since 1992.
Dr. Moriarty employs the most current materials and advances in dental science to Hilltop patients and provides the best options for their oral health. Dr. Moriarty has been an Invisalign provider since 2008 and provides treatment for all aspects of dental care: crowns, esthetic fillings, implant restoration, and all aspects of general dentistry for adults and for children. She remains active with professional affiliations with the Rappahannock Valley Dental Society, the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
Dr. Moriarty is a member of the American Dental Association’s Advisory Circle and provides regular feedback to the ADA on current concerns for its members and the public. Findings of the Advisory Council are frequently published in journals and in articles of interest to the public.
In her free time Dr. Moriarty enjoys painting, playing the cello badly, refining her hobby of bookbinding and book and paper repair, and hiking with her golden retriever, Lola. Her cats, Daisy and Simone, tolerate her presence. Dr. Moriarty boasts two Hokie alum and is a Tribe Mom.
