We also thoroughly clean the teeth to eliminate surface stains and provide the patient with fresh breath for many months to follow. The process is much easier and more effective when patients take proper care of their teeth.

Professional Cleaning

A professional cleaning allows our hygienist to clean a patient’s teeth more thoroughly than what is possible at home. We start by using specialized tools to remove any tartar and plaque that has accumulated. We make sure to use a gentle touch so that the patient is kept as comfortable as possible during this time. From there, the teeth are polished and cleansed in order to remove surface stains and help provide the patient with long-lasting fresh breath.

Full Examination

A full examination is our opportunity to check for any oral health problems or conditions that may have developed. As we work, we will closely examine the teeth and gums for anything that warrants attention. In the event that we do find something concerning, we may recommend a follow-up visit, or we may suggest changes to the patient’s regular oral care practices.

Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays are very important for checking the hidden areas of a patient’s mouth. In many cases, they are the only way to detect certain issues and problems. With digital X-rays, we can detect gum disease, cavities, tooth decay, jawbone problems, cysts and more. Once the X-rays have been taken, the images can be transferred over to a monitor for easy viewing. This way, we can share any important findings with the patient.
